I get it. We domesticate dogs, yet want the dogs to be able to run around in nature like their instincts, so we slap together some amalgamation of “nature” for them with sprinklers and fences so they can pretend we didn’t paint them into a genetic corner.

uh... I'm having a really hard time parsing this.
All of the dog parks in my area are just... fenced-in fields with planted lawns. They look and feel super domesticated.
Maybe it's different elsewhere?
