Teeth are not really the same thing as bone, pretty different structure than say a femur.

It's splitting hairs a bit, but they really are quite different.

It's not splitting hairs at all, in fact, teeth are closer to your hair than your skeletal system going by their germ layer origins.

Sure, mostly the composition components (hydroxyapatite) being present in various quantities is what I was referring to. I don't think it's fair to say there's NO similarities, just far less than most people are aware of.

Also, nice pun leading up to your fact there!

Just think about how they grow and develop, they are absolutely different. This shower thought is ridiculous as most posted here nowadays.

First point is good (bones in fact are not the same as teeth) but comparing structural difference of a femur and tooth isn’t a great argument. Femur vs a sesamoid (floating) bone are also very different structurally, as are the bones in the ear

Sure, just wanted to keep it simple and not dive too deep into anatomy, most people know what a femur is.

But to your point, a tooth remains equally different to a sesamoid and a ossicle, as it does to a femur, in terms of molecular comp and embryological origin. The size and macrostructure doesn't really make a difference for comparison sake here, so a bit pedantic.

It's not splitting hairs, bones are nothing like teeth outside of the vague similarity in surface appearance.
