Bootcampers looking for a job?

I know this is a long shot, but are there any aspiring software developers in the area? I quit my job in December to make the transition and am in the process of applying to jobs now. I don’t really have any connections in the industry, and would like to meet somebody else who is trying to break in. Possibly relevant information about me: I drink coffee, beer, and am old enough to remember floppy disks.

OK. I've heard of Third Place but never been. Looks like I know where I'm getting lunch. Thanks for the good info! Again, lol.

It’s tricky because I don’t think there’s an obvious answer to your question sadly, however if there was a “startup place” in Stamford I feel it would be Third Place. Just try and talk to people and see if there are cool projects happening!

Good advice. I think that's going to be the key to me breaking in from another industry, and in a recession. Just keep learning and talking to people.
