Eager: The Surprising, Secret Life of Beavers and Why They Matter by Ben Goldfarb is a great read and highlights how important beavers are for the local ecology.

Reading this book right now and it is so damn good! It has increased my adoration for beavers to unforseen levels. I love those little goobers so much.

I've never had issues with them but grew up in a rural area where they are mostly regarded as a pest. This book made me a beaver believer!
