A PhD student in criminology of all things. So premeditated, they decided to get a degree in how to catch killers before committing a mass murder.

Yet they apparenrly did the classic blunder of fleeing the state, instead of returning to their normal routine, unless maybe he only left during the holiday break or something

I'm sure he'll receive a failing grade for the semester.

The end of the article isn't clear on where exactly he as found, other than mountainous, rural PA. Was he hiding in a cabin in the woods, visiting family, vacationing?

In another article it mentions he was arrested at his parents' home in a gated community. From looking at a map of the area, it appears to be a developed suburban neighborhood.

Also leaving DNA samples at the scene and continuing to drive vehicle that was spotted. Kids take a lesson here: Don’t murder people in cold blood it isn’t worth it. Get therapy for your anger issues.

I'm sure the police might know the motive but are not sharing. I'm sure the police know more than they can say.

Makes sense they’re keeping it close to the chest considering the general public’s fascination with serial killers not to mention the jury selection when they charge him.

Wtf, what a great comment.. murderers only exist in certain places didn't you know that! The east coast is so much safer.. Louisiana hasn't had a murder in over 100 years! I heard Florida is the safest place on earth! Did you know that Kansas only grows corn?

I never realized it, but it's actually pretty scary to think of serial killers from a "per capita" perspective.

Actually it's California. Serial Killer Statistics by State

Bernella t1_j2cwfeq wrote

Yeah but that counts the victims, not the number of serial killers by state. Two different things.

Fartknocker500 t1_j2ehzj4 wrote

Hmmm. Tbh I would rather have less victims than more serial killers. I guess we have more discriminating serial killers in WA.
