On Whidbey Island, the southern part of the island around Langley is very liberal, the north part around Oak Harbor, very conservative. Oak Harbor is a Navy town. Culturally, saying you’re from either North or South Whidbey pegs you as liberal or conservative, generally speaking.

Coupeville here, we are a good mix of the two liberal and conservative. Mostly retired military with scattered active duty with a larger civilian pop a good place that accepts all kind of folk.

Yeah, I’d modify my original post by saying there is a mix at both the north and the south end, too, with concentrations of left or right as I originally laid out.
