Got my daughter a hammer head looking to places close by to allow her to ride. Something with decent land like abandoned factories, easy trails ect.

I'm actually in Leicester, just looking for any place to take her now and then.

You're in luck! Behind the cemetery off Stafford St. is one cool spot for it. There are trails off Auburn St. as well, and behind the airport.

Are you talking about the snowmobile trails? Thought it was restricted to them?

I didn't know there were snowmobile trails. We used to play paintball back there in the early 2000s, no one ever bothered us.

Yeah I used to own a place on Boyd Street Cherry Cherry Valley between 2008 and 2012 my boys would always play behind there and on those trails but there's an actual Leicester snowmobile club they have a Facebook page, meetings and all that stuff I guess they maintain the trails because some of those trails are on private land

Many of the trails in the area are technically restricted to only snowmobiles, since they don't tear up the ground as much. It's just never really enforced and everyone offroads on them anyway.

Not really this time of year, but spring-summer-fall they do autocross at fort Devens and the kids usually go first with their go carts. Also seems like a good place to network and find out if they also know of any other places. It is timed racing on an old airport strip.

There is a place 508intl.com in charlton. They have trails and tracks.

I know people off road at the old Rutland Prison Camp.

I know some people use map apps. Polaris has one, and onxmaps.

They can be hard to find but don't get discouraged! Finding the trails is like finding secret fishing spots. The search is part of the fun!

As a Jeep owner and one of the admins for Central Mass Jeepers I'm well aware that the hiding spots for great off-road trails is definitely like a fishing spot. I'm literally looking for more just an open land like I said even abandoned factories something that she could just ride around in circles or whatever

Just be careful the DEP doesn’t bust you and impound the cart. Off road vehicles are supposed to be registered in MA. “Supposed to be” being the key words here
