That does appear to be over the top/harassing policing. The fabricating of reports just makes this even worse.

I would hope that the upper management of the police officers are also looked into as fabricating a police report is very serious and sounds it is more than just one police officer. Police managers need to be more diligent in making sure something like this does not continue, which it sounds like no one is doing that.

PS I did not know that the registry did not need to be notified if the color of ones vehicle changed. Good on him for knowing the law.

They’ve been doing it for decades.

I got pulled over on Mill St. in the early 2000’s - presumably because I, a white female, had several black males in my car. The cops claimed it was because a car similar to mine had been reported stolen in the area (yeah, ok, whatever).

Even after I produced my license and registration proving it to be my car they still made my friends get out and patted them down and proceeded to intimidate them for no reason. They told me to remain in the car. I was pissed but my friends told me they were quite used to it. I really wish smart phones had been a thing at that time.

It was daylight, mid-summer and I was driving them home from work.

Worcester police are actually scum lol. I asked for a cop’s name on a medical call for my friend, simply because he was helping my friend, and he got aggressive as shit so fast, talking about how he doesn’t need to and I’m lucky he even came to a medical call. Also been stopped and asked what I was doing for wearing a mask, during a pandemic.

Even after the "Wokification" of the department they still fail, not surprised.
