I’m from the DC area and every time I’ve been to Baltimore it has been to visit the Aquarium. I’ve always had an incredible time and am now wondering, as much as I love fish, why haven’t I done anything else in Baltimore yet? Why doesn’t anyone I go with think about anything other than fish either? I have a long list of things I want to see and do here (top three are Neighborhood Fibre Co, the zoo, and Museum of Dentistry) but the Aquarium always reels me in first. Hoping to return to your wonderful city for a different experience soon :)

I highly recommend the baltimore museum of industry and Fort McHenry. You can take a water taxi from the aquarium to both or a short scooter or uber ride around the Harbor. Also the American visionary arts museum is nearby as well. That ones a very unique experience that features art from self taught artists. Lots of weird and unique things but certainly a cool experience.

It is curious that people in the DC orbit have always been uninterested in Baltimore. I am from MoCo, and my family have only been to Baltimore a handful of times since I moved here in the early 80s.

Going out to eat/drink here is substantially cheaper in DC… stay a weekend some time!
