It’s prom season, so depending on your desired look there should be dresses everywhere… but beware they’re in high demand. Shop asap. Try macys first, then branch out to other places.

Most places have moved it up to give space to those taking AP, IB, and end of year exams.

April and may depending on when the school year ends for that high school. "prom season" just means lead up to prom & prom. so yeah everyone is dress hunting like crazy now.

My daughter needed a formal dress for a performance -- I got one for $14 off Poshmark. Look for concert dresses.

Lulus (online store)! They have a wedding section with categories of dresses for attending weddings, including options for formal and black tie events. They also have overnight shipping options. Definitely order multiple sizes if you go this route because their dresses fit very differently from each other. They also have free returns for 30 days so you can return whatever doesn’t fit/suit. Good luck!

The garmet district is a costume shop but sells just about every piece of clothing imaginable around Kendal mit area, they may have a dress or rental off the shelf for cheaper than store brand

I would say 0-200. But if the dress is really beautiful then i may splurge to 300

And when you say ball… what do you mean? Is it a black tie fundraiser?

I'd hit the thrift stores and then bring to the dry cleaners for any cleaning or alterations. Talk to your network of friends and see if they can loan you a dress. Then spend the money on shoes and accessories. Everybody has that dress in the back of their closet.
