If I had to guess they blame it on “well no one’s died yet!” And “we’d have to reconfigure six driving lanes of traffic to make room, too expensive!!!
I feel like at the very least they could raise the curb way up to a protective one?? I hate this stop as much driving past waiting passengers as I do while waiting myself. Nightmare fuel

Uhh no theres a couple of stops like this in a row on the Brighton stretch of Comm Ave. not ONE. Chestnut hill, Chiswick, Sutherland, south street all just mini sidewalks instead of stops.
Also they did close some of them like two years ago?? At the very least they could raise the curb so a car maybe slows down a LITTLE before mowing me down

Okay now stand here on this 6 inch curb waiting for the green line as cars whiz by going 40 on Comm Ave and the train in arms reach. A foot forward OR backward youre smoked. I can think of absolutely nothing else but death while I wait

I’ve gotten Monica’s like once a week for ehh sevenish years hahah my Sunday comfort meal. It’s been there. I’m not sure why they don’t really advertise it, I guess I never noticed they didn’t. But it’s there! Maybe they like to keep it as an in-the-know thing? No idea

aaah I’ve always wondered about that. It’s got almost no foot traffic and literally looks down into a highway off ramp. Not exactly an easy sell at a high price

They moved their ad account to the agency Goodby which is in California. It’s bizarre to me that they insist on having SFers try and keep this campaign going. The whole Boston beer co is notorious for being a horrible, abusive client and Jim Koch is a nut job though so I don’t think there was an agency left in Boston willing to touch it

Barking crab is fun on a summer day I don’t care what anyone says. Food is good too if you stick with New England classics like lobsters and fried clams

I was very bummed out by a meal there this summer. Subpar service and fine food. Shocking to me that it’s on this list
Also having 4.1 stars after 704 reviews on google is veryy low. Ive found that if a place dips below 4.3 average you should be side eyeing it

Welp we aren’t talking about alcohol, you said chicken nuggets. And you don’t get to decide what’s safe or creepy for a woman. Opening her front door while alone for a strange man is 100% dangerous, and if she isn’t required to for food it’s bizarre for you to get on a high horse about doing so

Women don’t want to meet a strange man by themselves in their jammies at night. If my directions are leave them at the door, please do it. The ones who call me and insist on me coming down are creepy AF

I don’t agree with the idea that all “tourist traps” have bad food. Like mama Maria definitely gets out of towners but it’s still awesome. Same with famiglia Giorgio - line of tourists out the door but the freshhh pasta with veal + pork + beef bolognese is unmatched.
Lived in the hood for years and years, my fave for an expensive dinner are Prezza, Asaggio, Mare, vinoteca di Monica (the one on Richmond). For casual it’s Artu, aquapazza, and La Summa or beneventos if you want red sauce style

Yeah no that is not under 10 minutes. And it’s one giant hill. My point is you blaming it on one single stop being wrong. Making people who are close walk from Chestnut Hill Ave or South Street all the way to Washington street would have been moronic. Residents are not the issue, the infrastructure ever being allowed like this in the first place is
