My friend is the one who died in the crash. She was, as literally as one can imagine, a ray of sunshine and pure warmth. I miss her so much.

Thank you so much. Unsurprisingly she had a lot of friends, and we're all supporting one another

What a shitty thing to have her warmth taken from the world so abruptly. May her warmth and sunshine radiate through you and others who were blessed to know and love her.

I am so incredibly sorry. Missing someone who has been taken in this way is so very complex and challenging. Sending you love and strength.

Wow. This is only about a 3-minute walk from me and I still take the Brandeis shuttles sometimes. The email about this early this morning from the school was a reminder of how fragile life can be.

I hope the rest of the injured people are able to make full recoveries.

Alumni didn't get an E-mail which I kind of find shocking since there are so many pretty wealthy people that went to Brandeis. I'm sure many of them would donate for medic costs, etc.

Alumni are not the first, second, or eighth priority in a situation like this.

Wasn't acting like we are first priority to know... But for a school of ~3500 undergraduates, and a lot of legacy students, there are chances we know someone still at the school. At 27 injured and 1 deceased that's pretty damn close to 1% of the entire undergraduate population being injured.

Alum here. Found out via Brandeis Instagram. They havenā€™t sent anything to alums yet. Just feeling relieved that the people I still know there are all okay, but what a tragic event for our entire community. This happened right in front of a house my friends lived in during our time at Brandeis.

Jesus, that bus got absolutely destroyed. I wonder what could have happened to get a bus in a residential/commercial neighborhood to go off like that.

Man, South Street really can be dangerousā€¦when I went to Brandeis a drunk driver popped the curb and plowed through like 5 students walking to a frat partyā€¦.I was at the top of the road and saw that shit happen right like 50 yards in front of me. I remember looking to my friend and just saying ā€œWellā€¦I guess we should run over thereā€ and we just sprinted to help out. Luckily nobody died or was seriously physically injuredā€¦lots of lasting trauma though Iā€™m sure.

Damn! When did this happen?

That must have been such a horrible thing to witness, but very relieving that there were no serious physical injuries
