My wife and I are looking to redecorate our living room (without making structural changes). We also want to add bookshelves/storage. The problem is, we have no idea what we're doing or know anything about design. So, we're looking for someone to help.

I have no experience and currently am using a cardboard box as an end table next to my couch, but I can give it a go for literally 1/8th of what any professional will give you. I would describe my interior design philosophy/style as "Extreme Home Makeover themed room chic"

Hey, architectural designer here. You might get some more help if you provide a little bit more info. Things that would be helpful to know include general square footage of the space, how much are you looking to redesign (ie. just looking for paint options, or new furniture, new carpet, new floor, etc..) this is essentially what is considered the “scope” of the design. Pinterest and Google images are your friend! You can go on there for inspiration and can help you find products so you can start setting a budget and vision. Hope this helps and good luck!
