Yes. It’s all about cost. You’ll still see usb 2.0 ports on cheaper computers because they’re more cost effective.

It costs more money to support faster interface standards and the people buying cheaper computers are less likely to need the speed of the newer standard so they use cheaper hardware.

I mean, let's be honest, I have like 15 USB devices connected to my computer and the majority of them have no need of the USB3 speed.

Outside of external storage, VR gear and video hardware, there is not a lot of devices that need them.
