oh gosh no...that's just hyperbole for the joke. But for a few days there, the sci-fi writer in me was like why is General VanHerck saying “We’re calling them objects, not balloons, for a reason.”

i must be out of the loop. i know the US used a million dollar fighter jet to launch a hundreds of thousands of dollars missile at a fucking... great big balloon... and some instruments were adjusted to sense objects of that type better... and since then many more were found... but that's as far as I've kept up with this crap -_-;

Multiple balloons shot down by US fighters, 1 was a Chinese one, all the rest were US local and a result largely from mass hysteria
