It’s how heavy-accented Filipinos say Fish Balls.

Okay but why are Filipinos saying Fish Balls?

It's a well known street food here in the Philippines. It's not as bad as it's sounds. It's just the fish cakes you put on Korean or Japanese hot pots (ours are ball shape) but we deep fry them instead.

The Jewish do them too, Matzo Balls or something like that. They're yummy.

Edit: apparently I have no idea what those are made of lol. It's not fish.

They’re traditionally made with leftover matzoh, which is a bread.

It's so amusing to me that to an outsider, eating fish balls sounds weird as fuck.

There's squid balls too. Also good.

They probably slanging fish balls or truly love that street food so much they had to personalize their plates to profess their adornment for it publicly

Same reason why white people in a bar say great balls of fire.

Usually because they are great jet fighter pilots about to be taught by their late father's friend how to become legendary fighter pilots.

i do love Filipinos. And the ones I know love the teasing about their accent when they speak English. Some of the nicest people I have ever known.
