SF writer Harlan Ellison's famous disenfranchisement.

I saw an episode once. It was not good.

I so remember this. Slow opening shot of different colonies under dome , floating in space. Our heroes would find themselves in a new dome every episode. Had an old star trek kinda feel with more peril.

Good to see Alannis Morisette getting in some time towards her SAG credit.

IMDb rating of 6.2. Won Writers Guild of America for Episodic Drama…I’d be interested in seeing it.

I was around five when I saw an episode of this at my aunt’s place on cable tv in the middle of the afternoon in the 70s. I somehow got it into my head that this was a sci fi soap opera played five days a week. Didn’t even know about Dark Shadows.

Looks like something the boys from Monty Python would have cooked up

FOR ITS TIME, it wasn’t that bad. It was obviously low budget, but it had its niche.

Sadly…there was never a climax as they were all too polite to fight.

We had Blakes7 in the UK.

It was the epitome of low budget, wobbly sets early 80's production values, but damn some of the storylines were dark.

An alien in one of those episodes still give me nightmares to this day.

There was some truly great cheesy sci-fi tv in the 70s and 80s. Buck Rodgers, Quark, the original Battlestar Galactica, about a thousand others. Cashing in on Star Wars was a huge thing.

If you've never read his take down on it, seek it out. What he was hired to create, vs the budget and structure he was provided were completely different. Add in the really bad post editing and you get Star Lost. His review of his own work is brutal and funny.

Canada - kinda like the US, but sane, eh?

I call BS. Real Canadian astronauts would defintely have worn jeans + jean jackets.

Loved that show. The Starlost and Hilarious House of Frightenstein made for crazy Saturday mornings in Canada.
