Thats such an "Uncle Steve" thing to do. Every other "Uncle Steve" in the world approves.

For sure. This one could be president of the Uncle Steve society. Self-published a novel about his alter self as a lady-loving FBI agent, does martial arts in his yard barn, you get the gist.

I am an uncle who's name is Steve. I approve and only put the shirt on if it's a fancy holiday like Thanksgiving. You better believe Fourth of July that thing stays off and fireworks burn the chest hairs off WOOWOO!

Jeri_Shea t1_iuab0vj wrote

I mean, I imagine you HAVE a shirt, just that it's something that's partially tucked into your back pocket and hangs down to your knees. The purpose? To have something to wave wildly over your head while "WOOWOO-ing".

RedFox_Jack t1_iub2tig wrote

Uncle Steve “I dunno what Hd is but the doctor called and said I got 80 of them bitchs WOOOWOO”

Sitting on the floor, cross-legged, head back. He was born when my gramma was 50+ and had disabilities.

Van_GOOOOOUGH t1_iuacj40 wrote

Gramma must've been a hottie gettin' continuously laid for decades with no rest.

She was a very mean woman.

SnooSongs8218 t1_iudrjt2 wrote

Probably correlates to when she stopped getting laid… My grandmother was very cantankerous and grouchy, realized when I was older, that it got worse around the time my Grandparents moved into separate bedrooms.

When i was a kid, i used to think that real life in the 70s and early 80s was as blurry as photos like this show.

burntgreens OP t1_iuaexpp wrote

Hahahaha. Depending on who you ask and their substance habits, it may have been. One of the other uncles in this pic did a lot of drugs and went off grid to hide from the spies.

cweber513 t1_iualyko wrote

I bet it's the far right one

2

burntgreens OP t1_iub0w3e wrote

Actually, no, the brother next to uncle Steve.

One on the far right married a small stern woman who judges everyone and exclusively wears Disney tshirts and sweatshirts. A real scold. So no one has seen him smile in like 30 years.

From all of your comments in here, your family sounds like an interesting mix and it almost feels like we need a breakdown of the craziness that each person in this photo got up to.

burntgreens OP t1_iub0pc4 wrote

Well, he had his fourth wedding last weekend, only third bride tho. He married the first bride twice. He is misogynistic and "born again," very obsessed with Jesus and using women. Sad cause he used to be the good one.

Hang on... I only count 4 brothers I think. All the dudes on the couch and the one left front. The rest SHOULD be kids from the brothers right?

Or is your family one of those classic fucked American households who didn't plan their kids at all.... wait never mind. Six kids pretty much answers that.

The fifth brother is sitting cross legged on the floor with his head tilted back. He was born when my grandmother was in her early 50s and taking a lot of happy housewife pills. This, he was younger than his siblings and had significant disabilities. For reference, I'm the baby my mom is holding and that youngest uncle was probably 11 in that pic.

He died a couple of years ago. Made it to his 40s. He spent the last decade of his life in an adult care facility. That seemed lonely, but I think they were also the best years of his life.
