Some late model Kias have feeble ignition cylinders with a lack of anti-theft technology. 2nd gen Souls like this, or 3rd gen Optimas. Similar aged Rio and Sportage models, too.

There seems to be an influx of dummy kids sharing amateur how-to’s on YouTube, etc. I’ve seen a couple ignition cylinders broken with easy.

Give an impressionable, mindless youth a tutorial on how to steal a car and they suddenly think life is GTA without consequences lol

Thanks. This is a very insightful comment and I bet this what he’s doing.

This neighborhood is all low income housing basically off of a country road with a reputation for unruly kids and police calls. 2 sheriffs were just down the street at another house. Break ins are more common than most other areas. (Basically a trailer park)

Agh, I’m sorry to hear things are that tough for your (or this) community.

An SUV was stolen from someone’s driveway down the street last week.

It’s beginning to transcend communities where I live, and the safety of peoples property and lives are becoming increasingly threatened.

The person living next-door, their sister — she lives a few streets away and her son’s newer Wrangler was stolen a couple weeks back.

It’s no longer something you’d only have to worry about by being in the wrong place and the wrong time.

Pretty sad times we live in
