You dont need unless you want to play at 4k with ray tracing. By the time 8k gonna be where 4k is now its 2025, so u good :)

A lot of high refresh rate ultrawide monitors can made use of the power too. And there's the 360Hz 1440p monitors too, but that seems somewhat pointless imo.
