Are there any good survival games that are still a survival game after a few hours and not just a base builder where you have to eat and drink sometimes while building?

Sadly my friends dont like the style of the game :/

That's unfortunate. One of my friends also dislike this style. But I convinced him to at least give it a try. A few minutes in and he was hooked.

Have you played The Forest? The early access for the sequel (Sons of the Forest) just dropped. I haven't played it yet, but the original was pretty good.

Yeah fair enough. I would normally understand the trepidation with early access, but SoTF doesn't seem like too much of a risk. What I've seen of it looks like an improvement on the first game. I just don't have the cash this week, but I'll no doubt pick it up soon to find out for myself. I'm actually replaying the original right now.

Project Zomboid - the longer you last, the harder it becomes.

Go in blind, don't read up on tips, and you'll struggle :D

Just did that and i have no clue what do to but i can Bush Zombies and then get eaten xD

Yip it's a brutal old game - gets harder when the electricity shuts off- causing fresh food to go rotten
Canned food starts to dwindle, water gets shut off - so clean water becomes difficult to aquire.
Great fun to try to out survive your last attempts

Valheim is an excellent survival game with great building mechanincs. You don't have to constantly eat to stay alive, eating just buffs your HP and stamina, which is mostly necessary for fighting. Valheim is a real gem.
EDIT: I saw your friends don't like early access and I totally get that. I hate it myself. Make an exception for Valheim though, the game has so much content already and the first five biomes are already finished. You can pretty much ignore that there are new biomes coming and just play it as a complete game for biome 1-5.

Nothing new, but I can recommend Grounded, Green Hell, The Forest (what about the first one if your friens don't want to buy the new one)

The Survivalists
It has some base building too, but it's mostly exploration, fighting and crafting, with a monkey army.
