Possible it's in a contract to not advertise yourself outside of the company. You're employed by us and it's against our interest to have someone else trying to hire you while you're with us.

US business culture is its own special kettle of fish. You can’t expect all cultures to be the same. For instance, LinkedIn has historically been unpopular in Japan, but it can be useful in the US.

Why would they need to have that they have no obligations in any way shape or form to have those and even if they do have them they probably want to keep it on the down low anyways because i can imagine the harrasment from fans/haters alike
