I personally think the deck is a bit too yellow but otherwise it's really good!! I expecially like the detail of the autumn leaves filling up the gutters on the roof.

Really nice and cozy, the background is amazing. I think theres something a bit off about the floor outside the cabin (too yellow, or weird pattern?) but thats a detail… otherwise really nice

It heavily reminds me of old school graphics for games like Paperboy and others from that era.

Gave me heavy nostalgia for my old Amstrad CPC 464 and other computers from the 80's.

boinkface t1_iu8occy wrote

Nice, as others have said the decking is a bit bright (it could also have a slight gradient on it) . Also you could give a greater sense of depth if the foreground rock and treestump clipped in front of the decking a little!

boinkface t1_iu8oovv wrote

Edit: remembered the word for it - it creates what is known as a compositional tangent, where 2 things are just touching and it throws the composition off.

Can we get a couple interior snaps too? That looks so lovely and restful.

I just figured it was a fantasy place and it’s blowing my mind a little that the pixel art turned into a real world place.

I didn’t figure the deck was too yellow, just that it’d be nice to lounge on the lakeside but if we’re gonna be constrained by reality in this…
