This piece was an experiment to see how much detail I can get away with just using black. It was designed in procreate and illustrator, cut on a Trotec laser and assembled by hand.

Really cool shop! The domestic godling and the Bathhouse from spirited away are my favorites.

I might actually buy the fungal pilgrim from you since I can afford that one.

Thanks, I try to make a range of different prices as I feel everyone should get a chance to own some art even if it's small.

Seriously, nice work mate. How large is the laser work space?

OP t1_iw87b7d wrote

Thanks! The laser I use has a bed size of around 1200 by 700mm.

Now I wish I had drawn one with a basket in the shadows

I just added this to my etsy wishlist! Proudly sport your loneliness of charos trilogy on my wall. Husband (who was the giftee) loves it. You’re very talented!

Very fine work. Great style and presentation. The colours are neat.

That looks so awesome, do you have any images or video of the work in progress. How do you make the pattern? Do you have to individually create each layer in some software?

2

OP t1_iwb3mef wrote

Thanks! I draw it out by hand (sometimes pencil on paper but this was using procreate on ipad), then redraw it in illustrator where I create the vector paths and separate out the layers for cutting. You can see some work in progress shots on my insta which you can find n my bio.

This is so cool, but I have to admit I was disappointed that you didn’t start swinging the pages out to tell a story or some thing. Not criticizing at all. I just think that would be amazing please make this your next project lol.!
