I don’t think this is complicated. Nat grid is using the war in Ukraine to justify speculative price increases for the power. If it does not turn out to be a 64% increase they will pocket the money and barely readjust keeping the rate artificially high, just like the mega corps cashing in on “rampant inflation”. Just wait until next year when profit margin increases 70% for huge corporations who are making food, ect…. They will all say “what??? “ not us, it’s higher demand not increased prices.
