Anyone have impressions of the quality of Audeze B-stock stuff? Anything more amiss than you expected?

Got my LCDX 2021 from the recent B stock sale and taking them out of the case and doing my best to figure out why they’re b stock, I can’t find a single reason.

Same with my LCD-X, I can't see anything up with them, they seem entirely good. Audeze do say B stock is anything that came back to them for any reason, so could be returns because someone didn't like them, or even unopened returns. A lot of it seems to be more "open box" than really "B stock", and some possibly not even opened. I have seen some say they had small cosmetic or pad issues though. /u/CyberMoose24 though had a pad issue and they sent him new ones, even though it was B stock, which seems very good of them.

Technically they didn’t send new pads, just new adhesive attachment rings so that I could reinstall/realign the misaligned pad. The pads themselves though were in mint (possibly unused) condition.

I just got these a couple days ago. I haven't noticed any issues. Sometimes removing the cable from the left connector can be a little difficult. Unsure if that is because they are b-stock or just how they work in general. I love these headphones in general though.

I have a pair of regular LCD-X and those connectors can definitely feel tight. Yours are probably fine.

Yeah I figured. Just slightly annoying as I have a cat who keeps eyeing this cable.

Definitely annoying. But at least you know paying more wouldn’t have changed anything.

The cable that came with my LCD-X seems set in concrete to the point I was worried that it would pull off the connector when I tried to detatch it. Luckily I have the 2Cs and switching out the cables between the two made them both work fine. The box comes with a card saying the model was inspected, but it seems that the connectors should get more attention.

I bought B Stock LCD-X a couple weeks ago. One of the pads was really crinkly, the other pad had a noticeable blemish. Some other scuffs and little things around one of the cups.

Not lucky like others but not terrible I guess. The crinkly pad was the worst offender to me, looked completely different than the other.

Bought B-stock i3s a year ago, the only thing wrong with them is that the housing the cable plugs into is slightly too large on one side so it’s a little loose. Not a real issue at all and completely worth it for half price.

I bought an LCD-X and the only issue was one of the pads was misaligned by about a centimeter. I contacted customer service, who responded to my email in about 15 minutes, and they sent out new glue rings so that I could remove the pad and realign it correctly.

Other than that it looks (and smells) completely new, and well worth saving $500 ($1199 down to $699).

Also got a 2021 LCDX from the recent sale and as far as I can tell it’s brand new.

I've had a B-Stock LCD-1 for a year, and still haven't figured out what was B-Stock about it. Something vaguely irritating about that, I dunno

I grabbed LCD-GX in the sale a couple weeks ago. There is some very small cosmetic damage, I had to get real close to find it.
