Love my 800s. What a versatile joy they are and I’m happy with them like 80% of the time. However, I do like me some metal from time to time and I find it that I either have to apply a very heavy eq on my 800s or go for another set of cans. Ended up getting the dca aeons as it felt just wrong butchering the 800s sound. Though I wouldn’t say it was because 800s lack base. In my opinion their base is just fine. It’s just their rich detail and lightness is what makes me enjoy them.
