Heading out early tomorrow morning to meet up with family and friends 6 hours away. Considered bringing my open backs, but even if I'll have my own room, I'll still be considerate and bring closed backs and IEMs instead. Feel like I should invest in a hard case for my K371.

Hope everyone has a good end of the year.

Love them. I have the dusk so it has a bit more of a Harman-ish signature than the normal B2. For an IEM they do sound more full than other IEMs I've used, but I haven't used any IEMs that are much more expensive than the B2. They sound similar to the K371 with a little more treble extention in terms of tonality, but sound more "detailed" in my opinion

I kinda prefer my Dusks over the Susvara... biggest single push for me replacing the Susvara with the Clears was just how much I loved listening to the Dusk, which made me realise I loved a punchy more intimate sound instead of endless detail.

Looks like the perfect travel set. I need to build one of these, minus the IEMs.

How is the fit of the buds pro? Mine doesn't seal well :/

That IEM case looks perfect! I've been looking for a way to carry a dongle + the IEMs at once.

Mind letting me know what the case is?

Love the k371s. One of the best headphones I had tonally wise and they're so comfortable! The only downside is soundstage. These headphones sound very intimate.

I would just roll with the IEM. You're not going away that long, maybe travel lighter.

Hexa are a fair bit brighter, especially >10kHz where I'm a bit sensitive. If I'm coming from the Dusk directly the Hexa sound a little recessed in bass. Of course if I'm putting the Hexa on fresh it sounds fine generally, if a little lacking on some tracks. For the $$ you would really struggle to find a better performer technically though in the Hexa, great bang for buck.

“That’s a lot of audio equipment for only a week!” I think as I’m literally on a Greyhound bus typing this, carrying 2 headphones, my IEMs, and my AirPods Pro

Yep, I take two pair: daily drivers and ER2SEs for the plane ride. But I guess if I was just driving somewhere I could bring my whole collection and it wouldn't really matter.

Yeah etys make it absolutely silent and I love their signature so its for me. Never had or considered anything with ANC, cost being one primary issue. Was trying to help my dad find some "cheap" over ears with ANC this week but everything is too expensive for a non-audio retired guy.

Glad I'm not the only one who carries spare filters for the blessing. I'll never understand why it happens but the they just keep coming off every couple weeks of daily use.

When I travel, my Bose Quiet Comforts normally go with me, and whatever other headphones I feel like taking. I've travelled with my Meze 99 Classics before.

I can only find the mblu variant or one which seems like the Meizu hifi pro but it's just a completely different brand with a different dac chip also, can you dm the link?

Good choice. I typically just bring the Dusk with FiiO KA3.

Have you had issues with your K371s in terms of the headband peeling? I got mine for Christmas and the next day after I took them out of their bag there were some bits in the headband with the leatherette missing.

I'm still waiting for the faithful day you trade the budget-fi hoard for some summit-fi stuff. I know it's coming. One day.

Jokes aside, do you find yourself rotating out everything you brought? I actually had to downsize because any time I had more than one headphone or iem, they never got even use.

Im not trying to argue or be obstinate and i do appreciate the advice (and ill consider the IEMs myself) but $350+ is far too much for even me much less someone whos not into these things. My biggest purchase as a budget hobbyist were sundaras on sale for $275 and that's endgame for a while. I basically just told my dad that the tech is well out of his price range for now. And he can't wear IEMs due to cauliflower ear so that's a bummer.

I loved them so much but the cups were shallow and hurt my ears. Also I guess my head is just too big for them because I had two pairs break (where the plastic part of the inner headband meets the pleather part), and on the second, I had it replaced with a k240 Mk2 instead (which I absolutely love).

I already decided I'm going to sell my Ananda, DT990, K702, NTH-100, and 99 Classics. I just want to get a new pinna first (the seller that makes the clone gras rigs is coming out with an updated pinna based on the KB5000) and update my squiglink with them first, then I'll sell those and put it towards something

I have blessing 2 dusk as well and love them! I would recommend looking into a fiio Bluetooth UTWS5 adapter for the blessing 2s to turn them into a Bluetooth pair instead of carrying two different iems.

I did read about the comfort concerns so I'm probably going to order some Brainwavez replacement pads as it seems they're compatible. Hope it works out or maybe ill end with his pair hahah
