How old is your phone? Phones in Australia have to have a “reasonable” length of warranty - Apple interpret that as 2 years. With phone’s price these days I wouldn’t be surprised if you can argue to make it 3 years (it’s already 3 years for all Macs).

Just over 2 year. Maybe there was some sort of consumer warranty I didn’t know.

Apple cannot put a timeframe on it under the Australian Consumer Law. I just had my 2019 iPhone 11 replaced at the Apple Store because the Bluetooth module was intermittently dropping out.
I was polite with the person that I was dealing with at the Apple Store and they were able to replicate the issue and see history notes from when I’ve spoken with Apple Care.
