Lowering the volume so you don’t go deaf over the next few years

That’s not going to happen. And I’m playing the music on a speaker not a headphone.

DaSchTour t1_ja3k9xa wrote

Is it a bluetooth speaker? You can change the type when clicking on the i in the bluetooth settings. Then your phone knows that it‘s a speaker and not a headphone.

You’re right and I’m dumb, have you checked the headphone safety tab under settings?

No dude don’t say that. I’m going to check rn.

Thank you very much. I tried but when i went to headphones notification option I can’t turn it off like I keep pressing it won’t open

I did this step & it would not let me change it. I’m not hooked up to a speaker.

In bluetooth settings choose your device (click on the i) and change the type to speakers (or whatever fits). Then it will stop thinking you‘re using headphones.

It works thanks i really appreciate it. It was so annoying.

I did it. gonna see if it works in time

I just found out about it yesterday because I had the exact same problem and for me it worked

I usually only listen to my iPhone in the car, and then I have the volume on the phone at 100%, and use the volume control on my dashboard to control things… so yeah, this alert annoys me too…

12

Flamini7 OP t1_ja3pace wrote

Can you get rid off it now ?

3

tkingsbu t1_ja476fs wrote

Lol… possibly? I’ll be honest and say it’s not terribly high on my list of things to do today (laundry, groceries, driving my kids to various places lol) it’s likely at sone point I’ll dig into the settings and turn that shit off, just don’t have time right now… so the annoyance will likely continue for a few days ;)

Go to Bluetooth settings to set your car’s bluetooth as a “car stereo” and it should go away.

Annoying if you live in an apartment complex and blast music or whatever podcast on that loud a volume. If it's out in a park it's also annoying. 😡

Flamini7 OP t1_ja3whp6 wrote

Sure it’s. I play the speakers in my house. Or on a friend house if that is okay with them. ✌️😤

2

ZemDregon t1_ja5kybk wrote

If they are Bluetooth you should be able to disable it by going into the Bluetooth device and telling the phone it is a speaker or car stereo, etc

This notification appears to me as well. I use an iPod touch at work, connected to a stereo via a jack cable, and the volume is at max. I tried to get rid of this, but apparently there no way… infact, in a specific section (should be under Health) it literally says that in some countries this notification is mandatory…

I get this annoying notice but when I’m out and about listening to an audiobook on my AirPods Pro of course I have the volume right up.

I give it false information as i turn my phone volume up but the wired headset i use has its own volume wheel which i use so i make the headphones lower but not the phone, i have however gotten some AirPods max and im basically wearing them whenever
