Apple has this sound recognition feature, I was watching a movie and mi phone told me It had detected dog barks and shouting, so removed the headphones and realized my sister was ringing the bell because she had locker herself out.

A sound has been recognized that may be vigorous masturbation.

I bought one of these yesterday, primarily as a speaker for when I’m in the shower and want to listen to YouTube videos. Is there anything else I should use it for that’s actually useful and not some gimmick?

Is that a thing? Is it difficult to jailbrake? I've never had a jailbroken iPhone, I'm sure there are a lot of neat things you can do with it. I'm worried about battery life on iOS 16 tho.

I have a Iphone 14 Pro Max and Hey Siri works while this is enabled. Apple probably only allows both to work simultaneously when you have the latest pro model version. They probably state that other models don't have enough AI processing power. :-)

I think your right. I was hoping for baby crying at the very least maybe door bell as well.

But yeah even Apple’s press release state:

“With Sound Recognition* HomePod can listen for smoke and carbon monoxide alarms, and send a notification directly to the user’s iPhone if a sound is identified.”

https://www.apple.com/newsroom/2023/01/apple-introduces-the-new-homepod-with-breakthrough-sound-and-intelligence/

  • Sound Recognition will be available in a software update later this spring. Sound Recognition may detect smoke and carbon monoxide alarm sounds and send users notifications when recognized. Sound Recognition should not be relied upon in circumstances where users may be harmed or injured, or in high-risk or emergency situations. Sound Recognition requires the updated Home architecture, which will be available as a separate update in the Home app. It requires all Apple devices that access the home to be using the latest software.
