I find the opposite to be true.
There is something to say for the attitude of people that have lived here for a decade or more vs all the recent transplants. I dont think they mix well.

What exactly do you find the opposite to be true?

i dont find it dirty, but I can agree to not call it spotless. I also find the people friendly, and thats why i mentioned attitudes of long term residents vs new ones.

They literally don't clean. They have bottles at the desk that members can use on their own to clean equipment themselves when they use it, and not everyone does. It has dirty CARPET (in a gym 🤮) that smells and looks like it hasn't been vacuumed or shampooed since the 1990s, there are visible spiderwebs in places throughout the gym, the mats are filthy and worn and also look like they've been used and not cleaned since the 90s, there's no proper filtration and air flow, and I could go on. They hardly even pick up weights and return them to where they belong. Lack of cleanliness is definitely not an opinion, it's a fact.
As for friendly people, sure the members are, but certainly not most of the staff. Maybe if you have been going there every day for 30 years, they say hello. I am a long term resident, but most of the staff is not long term staff. There's a gentleman in the morning and 1 female who's sometimes there in the afternoon who are the exception to the rule and are always pleasant. Every other staff member I've encountered doesn't even look at you when you come and go, and couldn't bother to say hello or goodbye, even when I say it to them! They're just weird. I've never experienced that in ANY gym I have ever gone to. Even gyms with bad service, if you say hello 1st, they'll at least respond.

Lol nobody is required to say hello to you even if you say it to them.

Weirdo. We're talking about customer service. Of course no one has to say hello, just as no one has to patronize their business. 🤦
