Yes. People are less patient with each other. COVID has made everyone be afraid of strangers, even more then before, even if people don't realize it.

Plus economy sucks, plus the war is boiling, plus it's early spring and everyone wants the weather to be pleasant.

If you think it’s bad now wait until the supreme court has its way with NJ’s gun laws.

If you think the crime is getting worse, take a Time Machine back to the 80s/90s

I’ve lived in Jersey City since 1992. There’s way less crime and violence now, but the drivers are worse than they’ve ever been.

Yes. The more new people that move here, the more crime/drivers/crazies getting worse. It was much better before gentrification.

Jersey City and the surrounding area seem to not have any traffic laws. Double parked cars everywhere, running red lights, speeding. The cops don't seem to do anything about it anymore. No policing or tickets so they don't care.

Crimes always been bad. In 2007 I got robbed in broad daylight infront of McDonalds on grove street at gunpoint, while wearing my school dress code.

problem with drivers is we live in a city and a bunch of people from the suburbs and New York moved here and don’t know how to drive or park or let’s be honestly cross the street as pedestrians.

Crazy’s are out because those YIMBY condos and development are pushing them out of their homes and now you have to see them more.

More people, more everything.

I did see someone ticketing double parkers at 5 AM one Sunday morning though.

It was good to see...as horrible as that sounds.

People here usually make me feel dumb for a split second when I do everything right and they take the easy way and run red lights, or double park while I walk a block or two back home. Or get boxed in so I leave a ton of space around my car just in case. But I prefer to do things the legit way.

They should have ticketed all those people who double parked the day of the funeral.

“Covid brain”.

They aren’t drunk. This is a global issue right now. People are having problems regulating emotion and coordination issues. It’s a bad combo.

Also injuries in industrial workplaces has also been climbing. Likely not a coincidence.
