I’ve enjoyed WORD over the years (haven’t been to their new location yet).

But if you’d like to be adventurous, The Little Boho Bookshop in Bayonne is a GEM. Sweetest owner ever. It’s the smallest bookstore tbh but so so worth every ounce of support they get.

They're less than 1.5 miles a part.

They’re both good, I prefer Little City for kids’ stuff as they have a big assortment of Jellycat plushies and other toys/games. There is also Symposia in Hoboken for used books.

There's also Jersey City Free Books in the JC Heights for used books; it's not as big as Symposia, but you can't beat the price.

I can recommend Little City's Jellycat collection. Just picked up a dog for my littlest.

Both! I tend to spread the love around between these two and Little Boho in Bayonne.

One emotional argument for Word is that they just had to move into a smaller space, so I do favor them a bit as I feel like they need the support right now.

Word, and emphasize to them and all commercial landlords that you know that they need a bigger space, or a second storefront near the current storefront.

Word is still a lovely store with a great selection of books, but it's just too small.

Both. Support local biz as much as you can, I say.
