A person
under 18 years of age who possesses self-defense spray and who does not
have a firearms identification card shall be punished by a fine of not
more than $300.
Unfortunately dosent answer the question, looking to see if I need a course to get a RFIL. Thank you though.
No, if you're over 18 and here is the official law
You need an FID card.
Yes I was just wondering if I needed to take a class before getting the RFID
You need your Firearms card. I dont see any other requirements. You do you though.
I would suggest the NRA shotgun or rifle course which counts under

Yes, you need a course. Also worth noting, depending on your city. If you get restrictions and later on decide you want an LTC, you may have problems getting the restrictions taken off. It might just be better to wait til you're 21 and go for an unrestricted license. Obviously don't know if that's something you might want to do in the future
Haven’t considered that yet. I was just recently almost attacked by two dogs and wanted to make sure if it happened again I could protect myself if needed. Thank you for your info.
There are no more restrictions on LTCs.
Yep, as others have said you need to take the Basic Firearms Satefy Course.
Couldn't agree more!
Go for the LTC-A (Unrestricted)
This looks to be true!
On August 10, 2022, Massachusetts, complying with the recent Bruen decision, repealed the legislative language that permitted police departments to impose carry restrictions on LTCs as well as the criminal penalties that could be imposed for carrying outside of a restriction.
The new legislation, Chapter 174 of the Acts of 2022, was passed with an emergency preamble, which means it was effective immediately upon the Governor’s signature. (Read the new bill here:

Pepper spray is over the counter now. Just go to dicks or wal mart and get it. Gun shops also sell it
