I just submitted my rebate paperwork for heat pump. It mentioned it can take up to 12 weeks. I wonder how was everyone else experience with the process? Did it really take up to 12 weeks and did they send someone to inspect the work? I installed my mini splits with Homeworks energy.

Thank you

If it is the whole-home, you will need an inspection after the insulation work is done. My inspection was done long enough after that the insulation compacted a little bit and the inspector made the team come back and put more in. Then I had trouble getting a modified sign off that the work was done, I tried for weeks, gave up and sent it in anyway.

6 weeks after doing the online rebate form, they claimed I didn't upload the heat pump whole-home verification form from the installer... when you submit the rebate it gives you a receipt and the verification form was listed on the receipt, so I know I sent it. After I sent it again, it was still 8 weeks after that before the check came.

It took about 6-8 weeks for us. We did a partial house rebate.

Do you know what the qualifications are for the partial house rebate? Several of the contractors are telling me different things. One told me as long as I get a qualified mini split from the list, it should be fine. Another one said that I need a wired thermostat along with the mini split to be qualified for the partial house rebate. It's quite confusing. I called and email mass save and they are not answering. My luck.

We were told we need a thermostat as well. We used the Flair puck system.

Sent in rebates forms In Nov . Mass save sent back looking for a utility bill In Dec 1. Provided. Mass save sent back 2x looking for a copy of the energy audit. sent Jan. Mass save requested a site visit to verify the work was done properly. completed March.. Assuming it will be at-least 12 weeks from now to get any money back.

Took me a year to get my full rebate - and I had to appeal the initial decision that said I was not entitled to the full rebate (due to my pre-installation heating bills not being high enough to justify the full rebate - who knew?). I sent photos of my electric baseboards in each room and a letter from my installer. The full rebate check just showed up one day after I gave up on it. It was not a great experience….

It took about 8-10 weeks for us, and no one came out to check anything. We were asked to submit additional paperwork, which may have delayed things.
