Searched zillow for a $1,200 2br.

Closest one is in Dorchester, over an hour away.

Sounds like you might want to turn down this job offer for lack of affordable housing or go with one bedroom or get a roommate.

I was gonna say! Anything under like $2k for a 2br in Dorchester must be subsidized low-income housing or something. That would be way too good of a price.

Doubtful a realtor could help when the lowest online are:

$1,950 in Ringe NH.

$2,000 in Lancaster MA

Not even close to $1,200

OP you got a masters so… you could do this research.

Nah my mom just went apartment hunting and couldn't find much in her Range until she got a realtor they definitely can help, she had multiple options after that

Tbh if you’re looking for apartments in a multi family home, your best bet 90% of the time is Craigslist
