Just such a pleasant film from start to finish, beautifully rendered childhood summer. That last shot was perfect and heart-breaking.
For anyone who loved this movie and hasn't read its source, do yourself a favor and read Foster by Claire Keegan. It's an incredible story!

We would study that in secondary school, and I always thought it had the makings of what one would dub an Oscar-level film — one could really ‘see’ it years ahead of this film adaptation.
