Hard pass. The guy is speedrunning that annoying thing when creatives become too acutely self aware of why people liked them, and promptly overdoing and ruining all of it.

I agree. In his own words, this sounds incredibly self indulgent. Maybe he’s bad at pitching movies? But the article leaves me at Hard Pass as well.

I wonder if there will be a scene where the main character screams and cries in grief and the camera remains on them for like 3-4 minutes because of how cheap and easy that technique is to get audiences uncomfortable.

Some interesting observations in this:
