Hard pass. The guy is speedrunning that annoying thing when creatives become too acutely self aware of why people liked them, and promptly overdoing and ruining all of it.

I dunno, it sounds like this idea was already gestating in his brain long before his first two movies came out. I don't think he just came up with this after the response to those movies...

I agree. In his own words, this sounds incredibly self indulgent. Maybe he’s bad at pitching movies? But the article leaves me at Hard Pass as well.
