I ask cuz I'm rewatching Gerald's Game, and it's making me squirm and feel so, like, frustrated (in a good way), and I'm curious about other films like this. I've seen 127 Hours, and it gave me a similar feeling, but I'm not necessarily asking about movies of someone tied up or stuck in some place haha

So, yeah, what movie made you SQUIRM in your seat from frustration or whatever?

I just finished watching the new All Quiet on the Western Front, which had me shifting around quite a bit. The movie is beautiful and heart-wrenching for many different reasons, but the overwhelming tension and dread that hangs over the entire film makes for a very atmospheric viewing. Whilst the combat itself is quite brutal there are many harrowing scenes throughout the film that show the horror and brutality of war, as well as how mechanised and industrialised warfare has become.

Oh dang. That's a super bummer, but yeah, I like your response to the question! I've never seen it, but I'll have to check it out

Two very different movies: Event Horizon and Do the Right Thing.

Do the Right Thing totally does that for me as well, and I completely understand what you're getting at, yeah

Honestly the #1 answer is probably The King of Comedy. It's just too real

Requiem For A Dream. Watched it shortly after getting sober, but before I had lost any close friends to drugs. Completely beautiful and terrifying. Not something I want to watch again but I still bought it just in case I meet someone who is going the same direction I was 20 years ago.

I was watching a YouTube recently who pointed out how that movie is "nightmare fuel" without actually being a horror movie

Not squirm from frustration but just creepy sensation in general - arachnophobia, I've seen near enough every horror going and that's the only one that freaks me out, still don't like putting my slippers or shoes on without shaking them out first

I have that phobia, and once i was taking my bike for a ride and you know when you take it out and you hold the handle bar in one hand and the other goes at the back of the seat and your finger curl toward the underside of it? Turns out there was a huntsman spider under it and it crawled all over arm until I was able to flick it off, now i always shake my bike (held by the handle bar only) before i ride it.

Watched "Would You Rather?" With Jeffrey Combs in attendance at a horror con. Reminded me a lot of "Cheap Thrills". You'll squirm at self-inflicted body destruction, but get sick to your stomach in the rich-vs-the desperate sociopathy in both.

It might come off a bit slow for some people but Kurt Russell and the cast are really good.
