Really can’t go wrong with either.
Then why did you ask?

Detroit Rock City is a must watch!
It’s been years since I’ve seen it. Man, it was also soooooo good.
I go airheads
I don't think the comparison is completely fair, as the tone of each movie is a lot different than the other.
I like them equally for different reasons.
They make horror movies that start this way…
Bill and Ted and Bevis and Butthead own this genre
Wayne’s world is great but not enough Reagan Youth
Adventures of Ford Fairlane - 1990 - Andrew Dice Clay - Hilarious
Airheads over Wayne's World
Bill and Ted was 1989
and Bevis and Butthead don't own anything, they are best forgotten
They also make pornos that start this way 🤟
I'm not sure if this qualifies, but it has a good classic rock soundtrack and a lot of singing so - The Wedding Singer.
Empire Records
You look like half a butt puppet
Love Ford Fairlane. What’s bananas is both Ford Fairlane and Die Hard 2: Die Harder came out within a week of each other in 1990. Both directed by Renny Harlin. And both with wildly different receptions.
The only person I know who has ever mentioned Andrew Dice Clay is the sketchy uncle who wasn't allowed to be alone around us when we were kids.
"I NEVER LEARNED TO READ!!!"
I heard they remake Bevis and butthead for the age of TikTok
Damn the man, save the Empire!
I ain't fartin on no snare drum.
I think of this line way more often than I should.
The correct answer is “Singles”.
Award winning acting
Not rock, but CB4 is the 90's hip-hop Version of "Walk Hard" it rules.
The meta humor is next level.
Fear Of A Black Hat is even better imo.
Say it again...
Airheads has a story. Wayne’s World is a set of sketches hung on the flimsiest of plot lines.
Empire Records.
Beat me to it.
This is WAY underrated.
Came here to say this.
Yeah but Airheads has Lemmy.
This is Spinal Tap is a rock comedy classic. “But this goes to eleven!”
Don't you mean God?
And editor of the school magazine!
It’s Rex Manning Day.
She's a tease, man!
The Beavis reboot is on Paramount+.
Airheads was constantly on Comedy Central and is burned into my brain. Wayne’s world definitely had a bigger cultural impact when it came out. Love both though and not sure I can pick one over the other for personal preference.
They are both equal halves of my heart.
Dazed and confused.
Spinal Tap was 1984
The Stoned Age is the real unsung 90’s rock comedy.
I gotta go with Airheads. Wayne's World has some absolutely classic scenes, but I feel like Mike Myers just isn't funny to me anymore. Every time I try to rewatch one of his films lately, I find that most of the jokes haven't aged well and don't land like they used to.
And it's pretty excellent.
Ed O’Neill
Not quite 90s but if you like these movies you'll love the Josie and the Pussycats movie, it's not the movie you think it is
Airheads.
Wayne's World is a 7 minute joke stretched way to far.
Farley ripping the nipple ring off that guy always made me laugh and taught me the importance of situational awareness
Say No More, Mon Amour
I feel like Wayne’s World is iconic and will be referenced for generations.
Airheads is a fun movie that I always enjoy watching.
Airheads biggest problem was that it came out in 1994. The whole end part with Brendan Frazer having to admit that he was nerd in high school seemed dated already when Weezer was currently the hottest band on the radio.
I loves me some Sugar High!!
Wayne’s World for sure. I’d give my right eye.
Wayne’s World
Touch me I’m Dick speaks for itself. Like obviously my name is Dick and you can touch me; but it can be seen either way you know?
But set in the 70’s
"Empire Records" and "Singles" would like a word...
"we'll just take these home, run them over with a fine tooth comb, cross the T's and dot the...lower case J's"
Wayne’s World was a huge success. The others not so much.
Love this one.
Waynes World is one of my favorite movies ever, but I wouldnt call it a rock comedy.
This is tough.. I’m stumped
When they were new, I liked Wayne’s World much better. I haven’t seen Airheads since, but I’ve seen WW maybe times since and it has held up for me.
Heelloo, what do you think you’re doing?
Singles is the correct answer.
Who would win in a fight? Lemmy? Or God?
Airheads!
I was going to say Rock Star, but apparently it’s 2001. A great Marky Mark 80s rock movie somehow
I see that you have an eye for details.
Gweedos and Stella's
Agreed. It came out 5 years too late. They were an LA hair metal band at a time when grunge (which had already supplanted hair metal) was already being replaced by alternative rock (like Weezer and ironically Foo Fighters).
That said I love Airheads and would watch it over Wayne’s World.
Bill and Ted!
What kind of person would make me choose?!
Answer is: watch Airheads, then Wayne’s World, and Wayne’s World 2.
I randomly rewatched this 2 nights ago. Still hilarious.
Since all the good ones have been taken, can we broaden the scope a bit to include punk? If so, I nominate SLC punk!
Since we're off the rails already, Popstar. It's the modern, spiritual sequel to Spinal Tap.
Huh huh huh it's fire fire duh duh duh
Hahah awesome
Then I feel sorry for you, because its a funny movie https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0098987/
The link you gave has IMDB giving it a 6.4 with a Metacritic score of 24 from critics. I get you like it and more power to you, but as someone not from that time, it seems like it would be just meh. Yea, critic sites are sometimes shit, but that's pretty low for how inflated imdb tends to be.
A lot of those old comedies are just sort of slow and feel off to me. Like not offensive or some shit, but just way old. Dated? IDK. As I said the only reason i have even heard of this guy is because of my mom and aunts warning everyone about their sketchy brother. It will probably be like 30 years from now me mentioning some youtuber like that guy who went to the Japanese suicide forest. No one really needs to go back and watch his videos even if we laughed at them here and now.

Wayne's World. The cameos, Alice Cooper, the product placements, multiple endings, Tia Carrere, and more.
