This is needed. The Upper Valley is a child care bubble. There are only a few viable childcare providers…some of which have management issues and a rotating door of staff (despite receiving ample COVID relief money). I paid more than $30K for child care last year, and I was probably in the middle of the pack because my kids are slightly older. I know one family with an infant and a toddler that is paying more than $3,500 per month.

$3,500x12= $42,000 per year.
That's more than the out of state cost of tuition at Keene State College. And that includes room and board and fees. That's insane.

that's insane! why is it so expensive?

Pretty sure we use the same daycare. If so, we can probably agree the owner (who made herself the director without any childcare or management assistance) has really tried our patience. I don’t understand why it can be so difficult.

Yup, that’s the one. Fortunately, we were able to escape to greener pastures a few months ago. The constant drama was just too much…not good for the staff, the kids, or the families.
