Rochester/somersworth has some good areas that look abandoned(not trying to joke)

Not helpful for your request, but I have been noticing a lot of abandoned looking restaurants and inns in the Killington area of VT. I'm making an assumption this is a creatively inspired request (photography?) and have had the same thoughts passing these places recently in VT. A few abandoned houses too. This is all along route 4 between Woodstock and Rutland.

There is the Fort Stark State Historic Site. Its an abandoned gun battery from WWI and WWII. Few folks visit. Cool place for pictures as some areas have graffiti inside the magazine storage buildings you can walk into.

Salisbury used to have a bunch of abandoned stuff I went to in my childhood. The mini golf course with the whale, pirates cove…that’s probably all gone now, though.

Grew up there and was there visiting folks this weekend. It's a crying shame. That whole area was jamming in the 80s and early 90s. The Snow Angel Tavern and Eidelweiss Hotel (sp?) are a disgrace and should be razed straightaway.

Not sure if these fit your definition of “restaurant,” but there’s a closed Burger King on Route 1 Portsmouth by Advance Auto Parts, and a Papa Gino’s in Seabrook on Route 1 a little north of where the Walmart is.
