If nobody responds you can wing it. Monadnock is so heavily hiked that you could just ask people in the parking lot; I wouldn't be at all surprised if you find somebody or some group happy to let you come along. It's a common hike for beginners, so they won't be surprised.

I would love to join you. I have extensive winter climbing/hiking experience, especially in NH. I've done Monadnock many times. There's only one thing keeping me from joining you, I'm now 67 years old and it's just not possible in my current body. The mind is willing but the body can't anymore.

Best of luck and enjoy!

At the Monadnock shop (where they ask you to check in anyway) you can rent microspikes for $10!!

Microspikes probably won’t cut it at the moment — will probably need full crampons.

Please be careful. I don't think it's a good idea to advertise on reddit for strangers to go hiking with.

There are several NH hiking groups on FB that schedule group hikes based on experience. Hiking Buddies NH 48 is a great one.

This reminds me of the story of Mr. Dumpling. Mr. Dumpling never wanted to learn to defend himself. Mr. Dumpling scoffed at his teachers. Then, when the day came that Mr. Dumplings enemies closed in on him, he blocked their attacks and broke their fists with his face.
