Recently had surgery and my appetite is coming back so I’m looking to treat myself with some delicious chicken parm, where should I go?

Edited: went with tre scalini and it hit the spot, thanks for the suggestions. I’ll definitely be trying some others soon.

Geez. It almost doesn't exist anymore. Used to be Frank and Mary's. Maybe P and M market.

Sandwhich or pasta? If sammy, Nica’s market makes a good one. Dayton st. Pizza, and nardelli’s are good too.

Tre Scalini has good chicken parm. (Check out the caesar salad too if you're into that)

Easy answer. Michael’s Trattoria in Wallingford. Delicious and well prepared to the hilt.

A testament to how spoiled we are on the Italian front. So many different responses.

And you lived in New Haven for like 3 years. I've been here my whole life. What I am getting at, is that the crap that most places call chicken Parm is fucking Sysco chicken tenders with marinara and shit mozzarella. There are some great places left, like Liuzzi in North Haven. There used to be Italian delis across New Haven that made Chicken Parm from scratch. Maybe you can recommend a great chicken Parm? My guess is if you could have, you would have. Dip shit.

I’m born and raised in East Haven, what are you talking about? Liuzzi, P&M, Nica’s, Nonna Gina’s, Scarpellino’s, literally any decent pizza place, all make great chicken cutlets and by extension, chicken parm.

Nica's isn't my favorite. If you check the comments, you'd see I recommended P and M. (And Liuzzi). The old school style that I'm talking about is still found at Liuzzis for sure. Any pizza worth a damn sells pizza and not much else in my opinion.
