Artist and Craftsman is 7000 square feet of art supplies that are priced well. Hull's is selling to Yale $$$ and is well stocked but tiny.

Yes. Or Shell and Bones. Do not fall for Florian which seems so conveniently located downtown. They use poor quality ingredients. Don't let the decor fool you. Trash.

I wholeheartedly agree about Dimatteos. Not NH or NY quite but excellent. Cappettas has ok pizza, excellent food in general, imo.

Ok. Well... I can't recommend any ny style but Dimatteos in Hamden has great pizza. Not quite New Haven style, not quite NY, but excellent.

New Haven style pizza is world famous you know. It's not a joke. It's the best pizza in the world.

Nica's isn't my favorite. If you check the comments, you'd see I recommended P and M. (And Liuzzi). The old school style that I'm talking about is still found at Liuzzis for sure. Any pizza worth a damn sells pizza and not much else in my opinion.

And you lived in New Haven for like 3 years. I've been here my whole life. What I am getting at, is that the crap that most places call chicken Parm is fucking Sysco chicken tenders with marinara and shit mozzarella. There are some great places left, like Liuzzi in North Haven. There used to be Italian delis across New Haven that made Chicken Parm from scratch. Maybe you can recommend a great chicken Parm? My guess is if you could have, you would have. Dip shit.

Not like it used to. There were delis all over making this from scratch. They hardly exist anymore.

Your best bet is to get something like a Honda Ruckus 49cc that can be parked on the sidewalk. Get a couple of great locks for it. Never lock it to a tree. If you have a garage lock it in the garage as well. (This goes for a motorcycle also) Never too many locks. I had a ruckus for more than 10 years in NHV. You just have to be really diligent.

Geez. It almost doesn't exist anymore. Used to be Frank and Mary's. Maybe P and M market.

Definitely Rudy's. Although the rest of their food has sucked for years. Not sure how it is currently but there has always been crappy ingredients and poor quality control. Somehow the fries are great though.

New Haven crows do this every winter. They congregate on east rock in the sun and then fly into the sunset. Every day.

Try P and Market. They used to do a lot of their own butchering in house. No sure if it's the same.
