What’s the price for AYCE?

3

zornucopia t1_ja1u4fz wrote

i think about $30 per person but it also depends on lunch or dinner and weekend/non weekend. i think $30 at the most expensive though. their website should have the info

Or the sushi palace in Summit!

Same chain, cute vibe (if you don't mind fighting for parking 😅)

The one in Wayne is impossible to get in any night of the week without a reservation. They are elite

That’s true but you they usually can take walk ins if you come before 7. If not there’s always the noris 2 minutes down the road.

Sakana in East Hanover. More welcoming atmosphere than Miga in denville and same quality.

Sushi X in Rigdewood is my go to. But prices have gone up recently, so it’s close to $30 on weekend nights if I recall correctly.

Good and AYCE don’t go together when it comes to sushi. Unless there are places that charge a $200+ per person cover. At that point just do a 15-18 piece Omakase and have actual good quality sushi.

ScroterCroter t1_ja18oez wrote

I came here to say this too. I think ayce is ok for someone looking to try new things possibly but don’t want to commit to one roll if they don’t really like it. But after that just get high quality sushi… also there’s a reason half price sushi day is Wednesday or whatever… they’re clearing out the older fish.

Hiro Asian Bistro in Plainsboro. Really enjoyed dinner there back in October, they have more than just sushi and everything was very tasty!

Hiro takes my vote too! They’re also really accommodating to allergens.

+1 to Hiro, one of the only AYCE places in jersey that does tuna sashimi! Worth it for the price as well!

Mori Sushi in Montgomery is pretty good. If you're more North in Central, Sushi Saga in Edison is also aight and cheaper.

Good but no AYCE. Maybe AYCE, but more you eat more you pay. My favorite go to place when I went to Rutgers.

7

mcscootface t1_j9ycmpn wrote

They must have changed it then. It was AYCE when I lived up there, but it’s been some time since I’ve been back.

Cooking_Owls t1_j9ylcs1 wrote

Kumo in Somerville is good. I find it better quality than sushi palace, it’s still within walking distance to yestercades, it’s BYOB, and the all you can eat menu includes kitchen items like hibatchi and tempura dishes

Sushi Kingdom, Marlton, NJ. For south Jersey.

Fantastic AYCE sushi and kitchen. It's not super expensive and I have gone there numerous times with my boyfriend. It's one of our favorite date spots.

Sushi Palace in Edison has the WORST sushi I’ve ever had. I would not recommend going there. It was flavorless, weirdly textured, and literally grey.

My guest and I spit it out. And since they charge you if you don’t finish (for the all you can eat I think), we ended up hiding the rest in a bag and throwing it out outside.
