Thirding Magic Grill. The BBQ is great, but the dumplings are truly addictive.

Flights are diverted literally every day for a multitude of reasons. Trenton isn’t special that way. Sorry it happened to you!

The store in Springfield is a converted roller rink, and you can tell—the floors are all slanted. However, that is the only thing I’ll miss if they go out of business.

It’s not secondhand—I think what the person you replied to is describing is Ikea’s as-is section, which is for damaged or returned stuff. Most of it is just damaged furniture off the display floor. I got my couch for 50% from the as-is section and it’s still going strong 5 years later!

Reply to What are you favorite signs that it's the holiday season in New Jersey, past or present? by TimSPC
The telephone-pole decorations on Boulevard in Kenilworth. You know the ones—candy canes and snowflakes attached up at the top of the pole. A lot more towns used to do them, but as the years went on, more and more stopped. Kenilworth kept putting them up, though. They’re so small-town charming!

Trader Joe’s has some fantastic salad kits. You have to add your own protein, that’s all.

I don’t think anyone here would advise such a thing. There’s a way easier way around it. Go to court, talk to the prosecutor beforehand, and they’ll bargain no points for a bigger fine. You’ll still be pleading guilty, but no points. They often tack on “no moving violations for 5 years afterwards” or something similar.

Reply to Moving from NJ to California by bartowskii77
I shipped my car from NJ to NorCal in 2017. Cost about $900 then and took roughly a week to show up, I think.
It was a great experience except my car’s rear was situated above the truck cab, so it was splattered with 2500 miles of bug guts…but other than that, 10/10 do recommend.
