Because the population of the area is increasing significantly and you need a way to transport them

This project is dumb because it wouldn't remove the bottleneck at the Holland Tunnel, so you are essentially creating more lines to have them get crammed together at the same point. Public transport is inherently more efficient at moving larger amounts of people quickly and with less space.

Right it’s just wasting money for no reason. Why not do nothing instead of that. Yes I’d rather have public transportation but if it’s down to this dumb ass project or nothing, I’d take nothing.
